There is also the issue of having to much water collection for one downpipe. It would always be best to tap into the ground plumbing. There is no need to have access to the pipe. The stratco system is a smaller downpipe than standard. So even if something gets through the stratco Downpipe then it will have no issues going through the 90mm standard storm water plumbing.
