Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Nov 06, 2013 6:29 pm Hi everyone, I’m building a house and I’m worried that the toilet door size is too big for the toilets we’re going to have. There are two toilets with sizes 1500 x 810 and 1500 x 900. The door size is 720 for both of them. Can you please tell me if there will be enough room for someone to get in, close the door easily and get out? Thank you in advance. Re: Toilet door size 3Nov 06, 2013 8:50 pm The powder room in my house is 1600x1000 on the plan. I am having a 720mm cavity sliding door on the long side. One issue is that the inclusions spec included a 450mm deep wall-mount vanity, which would have left little room to stand in front of the basin with the toilet door closed. I convinced my builder to widen the toilet to 1200 during construction as it was a flaw in their design. This change has slightly reduced the size of my laundry but is a better outcome. Lesson - carefully check dimension of items in the spec before you sign the contract. No basin, it's just the toilet. Maximus I think your toilet is parallel to the short side. isn't it? had your builder done the brick work? Our brick work has been completed. I talked to the builder to change it to a 620 door, but they didn't accept it, and they said it would be fine. Thanks. Re: Toilet door size 5Nov 06, 2013 11:05 pm Our toilets are 1500x850 one has the door at the front the other one is to the side. Our doors at 620. Not sure I'd want me 10cm wider, think it could make it a little tight getting in and out! Re: Toilet door size 6Nov 07, 2013 10:26 am Can you install a cavity slider door on the 1500x810 toilet? For the other, 720 isn't too bad as the toilet is slightly wider. It will be a tad tight, but not impossibly small. If the builder won't change any of the plan, there's not point to worry about it now. Current door width is approx 2700, looking to have double doors fitted 820-820. What size does the frame need to be before door jamb? Thanks 0 3548 Looking at some of the designs on websites, they are all selling very similar products. I get that you want something stylish.
