Browse Forums General Discussion Re: Anyone In M/Waters should know !!! 41May 21, 2008 10:39 pm Great news for you guys, berniebgf and Nespop, congrats on the starting...
Just thought I would give you all the latest update as I received a little earlier tonight.. It is as follows: "The approved documentation for the dwelling showed that a 1.8 metre window was to be installed next to the garage door. The construction company have now advised that they will reconstruct to accord with the approved stamped drawings dated Nov 2007. A site inspection in the near future will be carried out as a follow up by The Deign Assessment Panel to ensure this has been done." We have a win........ I am not happy about this.......... Hi joeygbh, yes at the moment they have the opening set at 2.4 (I believe) what ever the standard opening is for a single door garage. So I am glad it will only be 1.8 as it should have been as per submitted plans. That way you can't have a roller door fitted. A win for the little people... Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ You would have to think they will not remove the brickwork, so what will they do? Devils advocate: Infill with blueboard and render to make for easy removal later on for third roller door. Perhaps they would be kind enough to share a copy of the original plans with you showing what was supposed to be there.... Whats to stop everyone from doing what they have done here? It starts a hell of a precedence I would have thought... Re: Anyone In M/Waters should know !!! 45May 22, 2008 5:57 pm Round two...Ding Ding!!! It is good to see we have caused the right outcome. I believe they are now going to just put in a full pane of glass for the window. We will see what goes in there in the near future I guess. But as long as a car will not be going in there that is good.... It starts a hell of a precedence I would have thought... That's ok Matt rain would not upset me as much as a car ever fitting through the opening..... Although just had a thought of a smaller door that would fit a motor cycle..... As for stopping everyone from doing what PD have done here. That is what the DAP (Design Assesment Panel) and the covenents are there for. They are in place until 2020 and then the residents can be a part of the panel by voting members of the residents to the panel. But until 2020, the covenents are in place and even the DAP aren't above them, as we have found out now, neither are the display home builders.... That's just WRONG! Re: Anyone In M/Waters should know !!! 53Jun 13, 2008 5:22 pm What tha?
Surely this inspection site dude is doing his job (checking sites)... You think he would have been on top of it after the last one.... We will just have to stay on top of them....not even an inch allowed We might have to have to start covering our number plate when we take these photos, as the builder will start taking number plates nesspop Why am I covered in feathers Re: Anyone In M/Waters should know !!! 54Jun 13, 2008 7:43 pm Jesus H Christ!

Re: Anyone In M/Waters should know !!! 55Jun 16, 2008 3:58 pm Noticed on the weekend that they have put a piece of board over the top half of the doorway & not the bottom. Maybe they are changing it to a lower window. Didnt get a chance to look at the other house, will do that later in the week .. nesspop Why am I covered in feathers Re: Anyone In M/Waters should know !!! 56Jun 23, 2008 10:00 pm OK, So it has started again... another couple of buildings with a 3rd Garage.....

Re: Anyone In M/Waters should know !!! 57Jun 24, 2008 10:24 am Guys - can you just explain something to someone who doesnt understand buying a block in an estate where people tell you what you can and cant build.....
Are you all angry about this because? 1) You seriously feel it detracts from the "look" of your estate. or 2) Because you want a triple garage yourselves and wont be allowed hance are angry that others are trying to get away with it. Thanks! Built Porter Davis "Dromana" 2007. Re: Anyone In M/Waters should know !!! 58Jun 24, 2008 11:30 am LOL I'm going with B!!
If i cant have one, no one else should. Rules are rules, everything should be consistent! Re: Anyone In M/Waters should know !!! 59Jun 26, 2008 10:58 pm The answer is B
But, what is frustrating is that during the house planning stage rules and regulations we drummed into us again and again.......about what we can and cannot do........Then you find that display homes are being build outside of these rules. Also, Last thing we want to see is the following. 1. Roller doors on every ones houses 2. 3 x cars parked across the front lawn working on the motor.. 3. 10 x houses all the same design and color side my side And so on............................. So lets let a few 3 garage houses pop up?? maybe not.. Bernie Best regards Bernie Built in Victoria Porter Davis Montedon Final Contract Signed.. Land Settled..... Building Started....
