I have just purchased a new apartment which (unfortunately) has vermiculite ceilings. I will be renovating the apartment and look to sell it in about a year or two. I wanted to know from the community the best options in covering the ugly-ness of the ceiling.
There are a number of options - paint it (doesn't hide it, but it looks better), scrap it off (way too messy and who knows what it is like underneath), put in a false ceiling (our strata isn't happy about this) or the option to install a stretch ceiling - has anyone had any experience in stretch ceilings? It seems to be quite a nice and quick way to make the ceilings look a lot better. Do they last? Do they look good?
Thoughts? Comments? Suggestions?
Thanks
