Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Oct 26, 2013 9:59 am I wanted to drill a hole through the sandstone blocks that form the base of my house (to put 25 mm PVC pipe through). The blocks are about 50 cm thick - is there any easy way to do this (i.e. that doesn’t involve spending lots of $$ for specialized equipment)? Re: Drilling through sandstone 2Oct 26, 2013 6:17 pm The old federation style sandstone foundation? For that size I would hire a SDS drive hammer drill and a 25 or 28 mm sds bit. http://www.kennards.com.au/index.php?fu ... mers&lvl=2 You can get them for 1/2 day only. I use Tramex moisture meter and it will tell me instantly if the wall is cement sheet or plaster or masonite but most people dont have the equipment. 5 4578 I had 28m2 of engineered pavers laid six months back and it was difficult to find someone not taking the pi$$. Internet suggested it should be $85-100/m2 to lay them.… 3 9625 Go to an actual paint store, not bunnings. Dulux even have trade centers. Don't have to be a trade to but their paint. 1 14025 |
