Browse Forums General Discussion Re: roof restoration 3Oct 24, 2013 8:22 pm ozpoz The exisiting timber on the house roof is leaning to one side and in need of urgent repair, restoration and or total repacemnet. Im not in a postition to replace the roof currently as im battling cancer and on a pension, however the roof needs urgent attention, and the insurance claim is heading for the ombudsman as the insurer has claimed it faulty design from 40 years ago. In the meanwhile I need to take action to avoid a collapse of the roof. Im enquiring as to whether the roof, timber work that is , which is not a truss, but some older design that I cant describe as i do not have much of a building knowldge, can somehow be repaired or restored in some way, and if so which trade deals with such work. Thanks guys. Hi Buddy, Your problem is serious. You can contact with a carpenter or else you can contact your respected builder. Thanks.
