Im looking at buying a block in Tasmania which has a power pole at one corner, the lot plans show a wayleave Easement moving along the block gradualy getting wider as it comes to the pole. I cannot find any information anywhere to do with wayleave easements. Basically all i want to know is can you build on the border of an wayleave easement(still taking into consideration the normal setbacks) or is there a setback from the easement. Obviously I dont want to build right on the pole but the easement does flow down the side of the lot. If its only like a 1 meter setback from the easement thats not too bad but if its like 3 meters etc this could be the difference from buying or walking away.
Thankyou in advance anyone that can help
