Hi folks...
We have two sets of French doors (external) with a wall space in between the two sets of approx. same width as the doors. (weatherboard house).
We are considering removing the wall space in between the doors, removing the french doors, and repacing the entire space with sliding doors.
Someone said ... "but what if that wall section is load bearing/has a beam?". Which has got me wondering.
But I thought, that even if it was, wouldn't the frame of the door take the load?
Excuse the lack of basic understanding but can anyone shed any light on whether this is feasible without too much headache/heartache?
If this link works, there are photos of the wall in question. We would only be removing the middle section (and existing doors) - not the two ends.
Thanks for any input
