Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Aug 23, 2013 1:06 pm Hello All, Not sure how to explain it I unable to upload a pic of the tub, must be doing something wrong. Basically, I've got a shower-bath combo. The shower water unfortunately runs along the edge of the tiling (around the tub) and runs onto the floor. Any ideas on what I can do to stop this, maybe some kind of shelving or something that would allow the water back into the tub? Re: Shower/bath running a river.... Help!! 2Aug 23, 2013 2:29 pm So much for my idea to put a combo in our ensuite and have the best of both worlds. Does the tub not have a sort of a lip? Our bathroom tub has a lip that directs water back inwards. Perhaps they make them different, looks over practicality seems to be the way now days. I'm not sure I completely understand your problem though. Could you use Picasa/Flickr/Photobucket or something to post a photo? Re: Shower/bath running a river.... Help!! 4Aug 23, 2013 2:49 pm We have a shower curtain the keeps the water contained in the bath. Re: Shower/bath running a river.... Help!! 6Aug 23, 2013 3:20 pm A shower curtain hangs inside the tub, which then stops water reaching your tiled lip. Trouble is I think shower curtains look horrible and I hate having them flap around your legs while you shower. But one is certainly your cheapest and fastest solution. Other options include getting your screen sealed against the lip of the bath with silicone ( I assume you are getting leaks under it?) and I've also seen glass fully enclosed solutions for that scenario which have a door with a rubber flange at the bottom that sit over the lip of the tub. Completed a knock down and rebuild in northern Melbourne. Handover completed 27/09/2013 and now moved in. Re: Shower/bath running a river.... Help!! 7Aug 23, 2013 4:44 pm Is that the full extent of the glass? Cos I reckon having a shower would splash some water outside anyway. But its also an illogical design. Water runs down screen onto tiles outside tub lip, of course it's going to go off the edge. I wonder if the screen ought to have been installed right up against the tub with silicone along where they touch? I don't know but to me that gap between the screen and the tub looks too big to simply fill with something? I like the sound of this, but its a biggish redo. Bluesuede . . I've also seen glass fully enclosed solutions for that scenario which have a door with a rubber flange at the bottom that sit over the lip of the tub. You need to reference the manufactures installation guide, your supplier may have strengthened the base where it is not required to sit on a bed. 1 1815 2 6181 Hi all I am looking to run a water line under my concrete footpath which is directly next to my home, was seeing if this is possible without cutting the entire section… 0 20176 |
