Germany where all the highest quality tapware is made does not. Do we have particularly high levels of zinc in our water? Would it be highly detrimental if we did use tapware that didn't have dezincification resistant brass? This was a highly undesirable situation in my opinion but it now comes under the Australian Building Codes Board (ABCB). It is possible that the transition is still to be finalised; I am not sure.
