Howdy folks
Still finalising our laundry (the wheels turn slowly around here ). We've paid our deposit and got the basic layout in place... Still just finalising a few details.
For eg.... Dryer.... We've never had a clothes dryer but plan on purchasing one - or at least creating the space to put one in the near future. But i have a couple of questions as answers will probably affect final positioning of dryer.
We don't pan on using it heaps - never/rarely during summer, and fingers crossed only to 'finish off' drying during winter or days of rain. So first questions are :
How much condensation will this create? Is it a lot (ie water dripping down walls? Creating damage to cabinetry??
If I had window open in laundry during drying will this help - or even totally solve the problem??. I don't want to leave laundry door open if I can avoid it because my house already suffers from condensation issues in winter and I don't want to compound that.
We could look at venting kits as I could put dryers side along an external wall.
But - Are vents really good? It would need to have a side vent tech meant as the back would not be facing external wall. Does this mean extra space required at back of dryer to allow for (side) venting kit? And finally (I think), if we had the dryer one cabinet down from external wall (our preferred location) is it possible for vent to pass through the cabinet to external wall?
Thanks

Ps - I knw it's possible to get condenser dryers these days but a)I'm not mad on the look of them, and b) they are a lt more expensive (and apparently dont actually dry as well as conventional dryer)??
