Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Aug 03, 2013 5:29 pm Hi everyone. My first post! I have been going alone with new build colour choices for our modern farmhouse and am sure that without some assistance I am headed for the funny farm instead!! We are building on 200acres on the top of a hill with views to die for. Our 'home to be' is a rectangular shape with verandahs all round and a portico for front entrance. Looks similar to the Gemmill home called 'The Harvey' if anyone is familiar with that, however the verandahs are all under the same roofline. BIG roof! My current dilemma is the gutter colour of all things! Because the roof is so big I though that a different colour gutter may act as a trim and provide a bit of colour, however it appears that this is a big no no! Current choices are: Bricks - Florentine limestone double height, with Leonora splayed sills(reddish brick) under Storm Front window frames. Roof- Woodland Grey (yes I know its a bit overdone at present but believe me when I say it is perfect for the countryside!) Gutters - Manor Red Fascias- Dune Exposed timber beams, posts and garage door - Dune 200% Front double door - Dulux Capsicum Red My inside colours FYI will be Kitchen Benchtops Essastone Terrazo Top cupboards Polytec Caraway matt Bottom cupboards Laminex White natural Splashback tiles Limestone Bianco rectified porcelain 300x600mm Ensuite Benchtops Laminex Stipple Seal Cupboards Polytec Gesso Lini matt Tiles Baveno Beige with a Weekend Tortora DΓ©cor vertical strip in the shower Bathroom and Laundry Benchtops Laminex Platinum Micro Cupboards Formica Charred Oak Tiles White wall tile with Ocre Chocolate floor, feature Koala vertical strip in shower. The walls throughout will be half strength Dulux Ecru with maybe a coupla feature walls. I am very happy with my choices for inside so thought I would share them for anyone interested in new ideas! However, I would dearly love some opinions/suggestions re the exterior colours. There may be a combination that I just can't see due to too many colours swimming around the brain box!! Any help would be much appreciated. Re: New build colour combos-HELP please! 2Aug 03, 2013 8:24 pm I paid a graphic designer to draw up / render my facade showing a 3d representation.
