Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Jul 29, 2013 3:17 pm want advice on size of poly water pipe to run 130metres from water main to house with 3 basins, 2 laundry sinks, 2 showers, 1 bath, 1 kitchen sink and 2 toilets. would DN20 or DN25 be best between mains and house and then DN20 for the house. Re: plumbing pipe size 130m length 2Jul 29, 2013 3:50 pm There is no straight forward answer it depend on the flow you want and the pressure you have currently got. DN 20 should be good for around 0.7L/sec but you will lose around 80m of head at that flow. DN25 should be good for around 1.2L/sec and you will lose around 55m of head at that flow. So I would tend to go for the bigger pipe. If you are struggling for pressure it might even be worth considering DN32. The Harder You Try - the Luckier You Get !
