Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Jul 25, 2013 9:08 pm 18 months ago we completed our new build. We moved in, notified council that we need a rubbish bin and collection, and registered our dog. But ever since then each council rated notice quotes as 'differential general land rate - Land use. And the Capital Value is land only. Should I: a) Keep quiet, and see how long this occurs until they realise (I'm sure one day they will audit, once Google maps show house), risking a back dated bill? b) Ring up now and tell them we have moved in (today). and take win, without them investigating? I would talk to them and if their is a lot owning I'm sure they would do a payment plan. Saying you moved in today can be contrude as making a false statement so I wouldnt be doing that. Joe, it depends on your certifier but we are noticing the ones we deal with are really cracking down. So i would recommend you follow your approved landscaping plans to… 4 10929 Hi Simeon, Thank you for laying it down for us. Makes sense. Appreciate it very much. Have a nice day.
