We have been dealing with them for about 5 months. We started our house building journey by visiting what seems like a million display homes until we found one which was pretty close to what we wanted. However the sales representative from the company that was building that home was absolutely awful. We met with him three times and every time, he gave us information which quickly proved to be utter rubbish... he was clearly just telling us what he thought we wanted us to hear so we would sign up. So we decided that we simply couldn't trust him and moved on. One day, when browsing through the display homes at Wandi, we met the C***ier representative who impressed us with her friendliness and honesty. She even gave us a tip as to some land which was coming up for sale soon, in the area we wanted (which we hadn't heard of through any other channels). A few weeks later we were successful in securing one of these blocks (Hammond Heights) which apparently sold out in a couple of hours. We even got the exact block we had chosen! That, and the fact that I had built with C***ier years ago, decided for us that they were the builder for us. Since then we have designed our own house and signed a PPA. We have found the representative to be very friendly and extremely helpful. Initially she was extremely prompt to answer all of our calls and her service was impeccable, although I must be honest in the last few months I have noticed that communication has slowed considerably, and responses to emails are taking longer and longer. We requested a visit to the selections room even though we were in the earliest stages, but as we are both very organised people we were eager to make sure that we had the time to ponder every possible choice available to us. This was absolutely no problem for the rep and we were shown the choices and provided with an overview booklet. Since then, we have made numerous amendments (to such a degree that we have totally redesigned the back end of the house). Every time we made a change or asked for specific costings for things on our wishlist, the rep was more than happy to accommodate us. She put us at our ease and assured us that it was never a problem for us to do this. I have really appreciated this, as to date the process has been an enjoyable one with very few stresses. Our land is expected to title in the next few weeks. We will be signing the building contract as soon as we can and hopefully will be moving on to the next stage. So all in all, our experience so far is a very positive one. We trust it will continue to be so. It is great to see that there are others building with C*llier. It will be great to hear how you guys get on as well. A bit too early to say anything about construction as we have not started our brickwork yet. We never felt pushed or cornered through the whole design process. We too modified our design several times and every time our consultant was very accommodating in providing us with a revised cost estimate. Good luck with the building process.. My Building Thread: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=62776 I had an old shower unit that broke on me and when I took it off, there were only 2 water pipes, instead of the normal 2 water pipes and a shower head pipe. S o I… 0 34206 Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption. Sometimes easements are unused and 24cm is not all that much. Good luck. And yes any builder… 2 7200 Wish you all the best. Once you signed the contract, they will find millions excuses to charge you. And have seen their sites unfinished for a long time. 4 17234 |
