I am sure this is probably one of the most asked questions...have been slowly sifting through older threads but would love more up to date info.
I am currently on maternity leave but as soon as I am back at work and can service extra on my mortgage, seriously looking at a rebuild.
Typically with a knock down rebuild - where builders state starting $xyz, how much realistically do I need to add on top of house build costs? I know there is demolish fees, site test fees etc...
Also I would love to hear about your preferred builders, everywhere I look on the net seems to give horrible experiences and reviews for most...I am petrified to go ahead with such a huge thing. Looking at south east Melbourne builders, I have seen some good reviews of Long Island homes, Nava...any others?
I would ideally want a builder that will give me a true/total cost of whole project, and not add crap such as variation which I am seeing alot of talk about.
