2. What about the Building Inspector that approved the frame? Since the slab is supporting the frame there is a potential framing problem here. Have you tried to get the inspector back? (You may have already mentioned this but cannot recall) 3. The contract is very vague on defects during construction - this is a surprise...(no, really it is!) as I thought that you had some rights under the contract if there were obvious defects. As you probably know, you shouldnt be able to dig down through concrete (with your finger nail) to the sand pods! Re: Slabs?? I spoke to a builder friend of mine about this issue. He was convinced that the problem had nothing to do with rain. As per Louie, he said that it's a simple lack of cement and no amount of grinding is going to help. The slab is simply no good. my suspicion - some builders, they do usually make 'odd' settings in their site plan / pricing as their standards - being hopeful that first - the initial price is… 9 1918 Ask the council if there is a chance of getting build over easement exemption.
