We have a block of land which has an old house which we are planning to demolish which also has a few trees on the site. Some of the trees are very close to the existing dwelling.
The trees fall within the criteria which permits them to be cut down.
My question is... is it best to cut them down now? Or wait until closer to when we are planning to build (approx 6 - 12 months away)? Does it make any difference?
I'm thinking it might be better to do them now so it gives more time for their root system to die off before doing any ground works. Any thoughts?
