Browse Forums General Discussion 1 May 26, 2013 10:10 pm Just wondering if anyone could suggest ideas to fill this gap under the fence? Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Some places the gap is bigger and some are smaller. Problem is next door neighbour mowing lawn and blowing grass underneath which ends up in our pool and all over our paving etc. Slightly irritating and would like to prevent it if possible. Ideas please??? Building the Riva by Dale Alcock Homes. Have thought of that but not sure we'd be able to get a thick enough line to fill the gap?? Building the Riva by Dale Alcock Homes. If there is still a gap due to the undulating concrete, then caulk it with silicon. Edit - it is tech screwed front and back, and I have no way of getting on the other side of the fence to unscrew it there as well to drop it down... Building the Riva by Dale Alcock Homes. Don't know why they would put it on your side and screw from the other side. If you can't do that, get some flat colorbond infills, say 75mm and screw these onto the skirt. You could try jamming in some bitumous impregnated foam which comes in varying widths or some treated pine batton planed down to a tight fit Arfur Re: Filling small gap under retaining wall fence??? 9May 28, 2013 8:30 pm 1. Tiles or pavers on the concrete. or 2. Screw fix lengths of 20 x 20 angle with the horizontal leg tucked under. Prepaint it first if you can't get the same colour as the fence. Re: Filling small gap under retaining wall fence??? 10May 28, 2013 8:32 pm use some of that black brickies foam they use in the control joins Re: Filling small gap under retaining wall fence??? 11May 28, 2013 8:50 pm maddutchman use some of that black brickies foam they use in the control joins We love the idea of foam as after its dried you can use a Stanley blade and cut it flush... BUT we wouldn't be able to do that on the other side of the fence, so the neighbour might get a bit cranky if there's foam bulging out from under the fence. (Albeit they could do the same....) Maybe a good idea. cheers Yes... methinks... ^^^^^ 1) the problem "I wonder if you can help me, I have a problem. Whenever you clean up your area, ... mow the lawn... etc..." 2) the solution "It would be great if I could fit a skirt, you can get on with your stuff, and I can keep my pool clean. We will need access from your side..." "ECOECO" At 'EcoEco', we design windows, we design the best windows, we do it for you, so that when you’re happy we are happy. I just didnt want to risk interfering with the existing house… 4 11521 |
