Browse Forums General Discussion 1 May 23, 2013 8:38 am Hi, We've just purchased a 1950's weatherboard in the Moreland council area in Melbourne. One of the the first things we want to do is knock out a wall, which has some struts attached to it, therefore I believe we need to get plans altered by a draftsman and submit them to the council. I had assumed that the council would hold the plans for the house, and we could access them and pass them on to a draftsman to alter them. Is this right? Moreland council website states that they have plans from 1994 onwards...does this mean that there may not be plans held anywhere for our house? Do we then need to get a draftsman to come to the property to be able to draw up plans? Any advice would be appreciated. You will most likely have to get a draftsman to come document existing conditions, site plan, etc. Completed a knock down and rebuild in northern Melbourne. Handover completed 27/09/2013 and now moved in. 2 5908 1 19709 Even if it's not being sub-divided and you want to keep it as Torrens title, you will still need to talk to a town planner or Council themselves, to see if they will allow… 1 11016 |
