We are totally new to renovations and unsure whether to self-manage the process (owner-builder) or to hire someone to do it. Got in touch with this company www.rftsolutions.com.au rft offers to manage the project for $1,100 flat fee. we think it's too good to be true..are we missing something?. Below is rft's email The question is - does anyone know anything about rftsolutions. is their proposal realistic? would they get their real profit/commission from engaging trades people at inflated prices?. Any comments? thank you Also - I wanted to attach the current plan but couldn't do it (jpg) sorry I'm new to the forum email from rftsolutions: > Kitchen & living area 30m2 + 3rd bedroom 13m2 + bathroom to hold a spa > 8m2 + demolishing of rear lean-to = $90-95,000. > This does not include any alterations/repairs to existing building. It has come together really well. Yes I found working with RFT Solutions good. I believe the quotes I received through you were more competitive than I would otherwise have received and the drafting and permit process was also a lot easier. I am happy to speak to any potential clients as a referee. Of course happy to provide referral for RFT Solutions. For a couple of idiots who haven’t the first clue what they are doing and don’t have any contacts it’s been a godsend. Would’ve been even if we thought we knew what we were doing…Happy to let you give them our nos. Cathy Re: references for rft solution (renovation manager) - anyon 6Feb 24, 2016 9:17 am I would not recommend this company at all. After one year of trouble when dealing with RFT, they finally progressed with my building planning application. This planning application failed in record time, and RFT claimed to have been caught by surprise. Can you believe it? neither can I... I hope I can help you avoid this kind of "Surprise". Re: references for rft solution (renovation manager) - anyon 7Feb 24, 2016 11:15 am I'd have to agree after seeing the three posts above Fabios where under the forum name of "homeforum123" they spruik the company in one post ( " Michael C " ), gives a testimonial in another post ( " McGregor Hall " ) and another in the third post ( " Cathy " ) ??? WTF Stewie If you need to pay for a project manager you would be well advised to just engage a builder who would take full responsibility for the build. As opposed to you OB where… 5 15050 Hi We are building in the Hunter Valley, our soil test is H1, our builder has advised us they need to have a letter signed for Fair Trading as the new drainage standard… 0 3540 Sorry! I'm new to this forum and have made a mistake in my posting! I'm looking for a structural solution to a stand alone wooden pickets fence with no structural rail… 1 3287 |
