However, in the Australian Standards document, this only specifies how much a roof batten is allowed to bow or spring; what it says about roof tiles themselves is that all courses must be aligned horizontally and vertically. I don't think meeting the spec. for batten alignment should get the builder out of meeting the spec. for tile alignment, and the manufacturer's installation documentation says that all courses must be aligned "to achieve the best look for the roof". I don't think that's "the best look for the roof". (I also have a thread in the standards section specifically about the relevant standards).
