I have been up there a few times for different reasons and haven't had that much trouble. However getting trades to come do there thing seems like a big effort for them, some refuse to work inside them. But I look around our suburb and I reckon 60% of houses going up have them. So someone must be working inside them. I was thinking maybe getting some boards from bunnings and putting it up there to spread the weight? Anyone experienced in this area? How to work inside and move around? We are in Perth. Re: Working inside steel truss roofs 2Apr 25, 2013 8:00 pm I have built steel frame homes before, and would never own one. Personally I dont get the hype or understand what peoples reasons are for wanting steel frame over a timber structure. If you are trying to get an electrician in the roof maybe its the fear that metal is a good conductor. Ive also heard that firemen wont go into a steel frame home either. Steel doesnt ive warning before it collapses, and the heat transfer does more damage and is unpredictable Re: Working inside steel truss roofs 3Apr 26, 2013 2:07 pm Quote: Anyone experienced in this area?
