Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Apr 15, 2013 7:39 pm Just wondering if anyone has done the ring around and found who the best companies are for home and contents insurance which would include flood cover? The flood cover seems not to include storm surge or high tide but if your home is inundated due to the sea/river rising is that not a surge? Soooo confused and not sure what to look out for when comparing. Any tips/suggestions? The Policy however does not cover the action of the sea, storm surge, high tide, or tsunami " And from what I have managed to see, Storm Surge is only the sea, which as per the policy doesn't cover information I just provided. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Storm_surge) So in a nut shell it appears the cover rivers/lakes/etc rising but not the sea.
