In the last few weeks , we found this out. Friends of ours were denied the $7000 FOHG (in NSW) when they purchased a new Unit. When their mother passed away , one person was appointed executor of the estate (old house)so the house was in that persons name for approximately 6 to 7 weeks because the house sold very quickly. In that time the house wasn't lived in or used as their form of address. the person lived else where. Because the person was nominated as executor /house possession was the reason for the denial and there is no home ownership grant involved--something a solicor refferring to the receipt of proceeds from the sale of the house??????
