My roof is clay tile with timber frame combined with a few H-beams. The home was built four years ago and it only started doing this recently. Should I be concerned? Has anyone else experienced this? A lot of metal roofs do this too and it is nothing to worry about. Well, a professional inspection is on the cards anyway. I've read some of your other posts and you seem to know a fair bit about slab heave, something I know nothing about. They say it affects homes built of reactive soil. Well, I'm on sand; however that sand is on recently developed wet lands, so the water table is probably a bit high. What are your thoughts, sand good ... wetlands ____? Thanks again. Something has changed. Look out for cracking, door jamming and gaps between windows and brickwork. If you find anything post it. I have exactly the same issues and slab heave has been identified as the underlying problem. Hi, I have a double and whenever the wind picks up I can hear alot of banging in certain areas of the house.
