Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Mar 12, 2013 8:42 am I am building a besser block wall 3 rows high (600mm) and 5 metres long. I have poured a concrete footing have put 600mm upright reo bars in each cavity which rest on the back of the cavity. The wall is only 200mm back from the fence and there will be a narrow garden bed behind the wall to grow climbers up the fence. Do I need to core fill the blocks since there is only 20cm of dirt behind the wall? Re: Besser block garden wall 4Mar 12, 2013 11:09 am I think what Stewie was alluding to is filling the block cavity with concrete, which I agree with, as it will complete the job properly to maximum strength Arfur 6 9170 there is a standard besser block wall pdf somewhere online with footing sizes, also have a look at dincel. 1 1091 Thank you again Simeon.. I will call my certifier for that. Have a good day 4 1327 |
