Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Feb 27, 2013 7:31 pm O.P. Hey Guys To cut a long story short I have just had approved from my Home builders warranty insurance to fix some big defects in my house. The main defect is within the kitchen/living area, approximate size 60 square of kitchen/living area. The problem is who ever built this house; did not comply when it came to doing the flooring. The house is two stories; upstairs all living area; ¾ of the house is a cement slab; which is upstairs; however it goes from concrete slab to villa board and where the two surfaces meet is where my kitchen is; The tiles in the kitchen started to sink where my fridge & cook top situated; I have stone bench tops which carries a lot of weight. The scope of work is enormous; it involves removing the entire kitchen/60 square meters of tiles; rectify & fix sunken floor; & replacing all tiles then reinstalling the kitchen. I would like to ask if any body in the Wollongong/Illawarra Area have had good recommendation of builders that I could use. The insurance has requested for me to obtain 2 to 3 quotes & I am not sure who to trust in this industry. Re: Builder Recommendation (wollongong) 2Jun 10, 2014 2:22 pm Hi, Finding a good builder can be hard, generally its best to ask some of the local architects in the wollongong area for the builders they recommend to carry out there work. I am a local Builder and have worked in the Wollongong area for 35 years. The Architects we work for are Floorspace architectural design - http://www.floorspacedesign.com.au and SF plan and design. They will also know kitchen manufactures and other trades that are of a high standard and reliable. I hope your place can be rectified and if your still looking for a builder or need some advice you are more tha welcome to contact us and we will do our best to help. When selecting a builder I have a FAQ that may help - http://wollongongcarpenter.com.au/faq Thanks Seacliff Constructions Hey guys, I have just purchased a block of land in Eastern Suburbs of Melbourne.
