Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Feb 23, 2013 7:44 am I haven't seen much talk about Oran Park, and when I do a search all I see is my own posts I thought it might be nice to get to know future neighbours, share information about the estate and our individual builds. After looking at Oran Park, Gregory Hills, Hermitage, Spring Farm and Vantage Point, we settled on the one area that we instantly fell in love with. We bought land in '5A' in September 2012; and after a delay of approx 1 month, the land should be going to Camden Council this week for registration. After almost building with ProCorp (who are no longer operating - we dodged a huge bullet there, we had already had a tender drawn up), we decided to go with Eden Brae. We are building a Drysdale 27 on a corner block. The plans have come back from Oran Park/Landcom just last week, and have all been approved. We just had to add some more plants and make the secondary facade look a little prettier with some additional cladding. I've detailed our stuff in the blog in my signature below. We went to our first Oran Park town meeting last week, and found it very informative. 50-60 people showed up, and the head of the development was there as well. The developers were happy to answer any questions posed. They told us about the first stage of the shopping development - Woolies, cafes, bakery, fruit/veg, salons, takeaway shops and a Reject Shop. Schools will be ready to go before you know it, and more roads will be opening up in the near future. I see so much potential in this area. If there's anyone with land here, or thinking of building in the area, feel free to say hello! Kristen & Stephen - Built the Eden Brae Drysdale 27 at Oran Park (We're in!!!) We also almost signed with ProCorp...... Welcome to the area, should be good when the shops are in. Hopefully so more Oran Park people will jump in 2 Re: Anyone building in Oran Park [NSW]? 3Feb 23, 2013 8:03 pm That's right! I tend to spend most of my time in the Eden Brae thread, I forgot that you were in Oran Park Our first house-love was Allworth homes. Just beautiful, and good layouts. We had been getting advice from Stephen Mills at the Oran Park office before he left. Just had a look at your blog. I think I recognise the house, if it's where I think it is, you're not far from where we are building. Geez we must have looked at the area a lot if I am recognising houses haha! Re: Anyone building in Oran Park [NSW]? 4Feb 23, 2013 8:48 pm I guess mine being one of a few without security fencing it stands out a bit more atm but with a build beginning next door my place should get a lower profile I'll have to do an update for everything for my thread Re: Anyone building in Oran Park [NSW]? 5Feb 28, 2013 1:05 pm There's a few more of us. Sarah85 created a thread in the 'Building a New Home' section yesterday or the day before. (Losing my mind...work is hectic!)
