Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Jan 19, 2013 11:14 pm Is there any easy way to determine if your walls/ceilings have lead paint? Was all house paint lead containing up until the point in the 60's/70's when it was banned? We have an older house and so don't know when it was last painted. Is there any way to easily tell, particularly if there appears to be several layers of paint? Re: Lead paint 2Jan 19, 2013 11:24 pm Get a lead paint test kit from bunnings. Tells you straight away. We had lead paint in a kitchen in our 50's post war home. Go to an actual paint store, not bunnings. Dulux even have trade centers. Don't have to be a trade to but their paint. 1 14043 Thankyou so much 😀 I've decided on White on white for doors and trims, White on white 50% on ceiling and Mt buller for walls. Fingers crossed it will look OK 😀 2 3618 Thank you. That is really helpful. Once we get the place done and passed for OC we can upgrade in the future once we get back on our feet and not paying mortgage and rent. 4 3991 |
