Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Jan 19, 2013 2:55 pm Hi there, What do you think of outdoor baths? Like the ones you see in tropical places. Would love any thoughts on this subject & photos too. Or would a spa outside be better? As you can guess, I can't make up my mind & Am not very good at deciding! Ta heaps Re: outdoor bath. 2Jan 19, 2013 3:03 pm I absolutely love the idea of an outdoor bath but I wonder at how dirty/dead bug-y it will get and how much it will hold up to the elements. I guess a spa is made out of materials designed for that purpose and usually comes with a cover. Re: outdoor bath. 3May 09, 2013 8:22 am Hello, if you decide to instal a bath or spabath outside, there are 2 types of product the shells are made from 1=acrylic=this would require protection from uv as it will fade and probably crack if not protected 2=gelcote=this does not require protection from uv we can offer both finishes in our range thanks jim roundbathcompany Re: outdoor bath. 4May 11, 2013 7:50 pm Do a search for "outdoor bath" on Houzz for some great inspirational pics. I LOVE the idea of a bath in a quiet corner of the backyard, somewhere amongst lots of plants and fragrant flowers (for a bit of privacy from your neighbours!). Re: outdoor bath. 5May 11, 2013 10:53 pm This looks like a cute project http://www.houzz.com/ideabooks/10444005 ... lvaged-Tub Re: outdoor bath. 6May 12, 2013 12:20 am We've stayed at a heap of places on holidays with both spas, baths and showers - I love them to bits. I would try and look into a bath with spa jets, personally. Speak to a few bathroom centres and see what they think. A bath is just a bit different from a spa, good selling point! If you emptied the bath every time and just cleaned it like a normal bath, I think it would be ok - but again, I'd speak to the pros to get their opinions! We wanted to have an outdoor shower here (I mean a full outdoor shower, not just a showerhead on a pole haha) but we just couldn't find the right position. My next house, the outdoor shower will be part of the planning process! I have a few pics of the ones we've had on hols if you need 1st build: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=59376 *New*-2nd build: viewtopic.php?f=31&t=70324&p=1154282#p1154282 Re: outdoor bath. 8May 24, 2013 1:43 pm I had one but got sick of the female neighbour always calling by ... I'm sick of it - we men have feelings .. we're not just slabs of meat to be ogled ! She claimed I wouldn't bathe outside unless I wanted women to look at me. Bathroom renovation will likely include a back-to-corner bath and we’re considering a freestanding tap with hand-held shower such as the picture included. My hesitation… 0 24682 2 4469 You need to reference the manufactures installation guide, your supplier may have strengthened the base where it is not required to sit on a bed. 1 1794 |
