I visted a display home yesterday of the house I am building and the shape of the kitchen is different to the master plans I have signed. Was just wondering if anyone knew if you are still able to change the shape and layout of kitchen at selections, or will you have to pay to have the plans altered? Currently on the plans I have it has the kitchen as a straight design then cornering off with a raised breakfast bar, I want to change it to an L shape with no breakfast bar. We made changes to our kitchen, like adding cabinets over the fridge, pot draws etc at prestart. The only thing being kitchen stuff is expensive so it can add up to extra very quickly! I would assume all states are the same but don't assume because you are building a display home plan that your plan will include the same spec of inclusions as the display. Often to get a house to meet the display spec you will spend a lot of $$ even if you pick to build at display spec!
