You would in effect need twice the slab to support the house over that tank or at least pretty big footings and dwarf masonry walls. We are looking to put a 23,000L tank in our house when we do our big build this year but will sacrifice a small room to have a built in tank instead. We both hate the look of external tanks and to get something this big we would lose a good part of our back yard. Stewie yeah thats a good idea, and you'd want it defiantly reinforced, id hate to see where 23ton of water is gonna good if the tank leaks! i just figured they could use them instead of waffle pods under the slab 2nd-Fix | Blog Building with Desyn Homes previously with the insolvent Endeavour Homes Re: Under-Slab RWT 4Jan 14, 2013 8:40 am Maybe FF but the extra costs to strengthen the slab and then finding a builder willing to build it could cause problems I'd imagine. I like the idea though and would give people who don't have the room for an above ground tank another option. It is similar to the bladder tanks used under decks etc. Stewie To me, that's what it looks like: poor backfilling and/or compaction. The width is about 1000mm maybe. I have also informed my insurance company and they are sending a plumber to investigate. 53 85039 Did you end up finding out what caused this...
