Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Jan 06, 2013 1:28 pm Hi, We are planning a reno and stuck between 2 options. Asking what would add value as sell in 5-8 years. House will be 4 bedroom with ensuite (toilet, sink, shower). House will have new small laundry off new living area, with a toilet and sink, washer and dryer. Q: Main bathroom which is located between living/kitchen and bedrooms. Do we go for: 1) 3rd house toilet in this main bathroom but space means bath would have to have the shower inside it. 2) no toilet, but bath and separate shower and a sink Thanks. And is there an app for external house design? I'm using home 3d for floor plan and it's great. Meegs Re: What adds more $value: extra toilet or dedicated shower? 2Jan 06, 2013 6:31 pm Is there any reason why you're having the toilet and sink in the laundry? Would it be an option to separate them so you have a laundry, and then a WC with a toilet and sink? I think a lot of people don't like toilets in laundries for various reasons, so with that in mind, and if separating the WC and laundry isn't an option, I'd go for a 3rd toilet. If you did separate the WC and laundry, I'd go for the dedicated shower.
