It looked pretty good - they had a fence display that looked nothing like concrete. I'd definitely consider it. Dana -------------------------- Building with DFH - carpet installed! I just had a look and my local garden supply joint sells 1.8 m x 200 x 75 mm Red Gum sleepers for $20.80 or treated pine for $15.70. Admittedly you can't cut the concrete ones but I used red gum timber sleepers as edging around the garden and after five years some of them are showing signs of rot and I've had to paint them annually. Worth thinking about it for the new garden...although I just did a quick calc and they would weight about 65 kg for the above length (at 2400 kg per cum) compared to 27 kg for red gum (roughly neutral bouyancy so 1000 kg per cum). mmm....donuts Homer Simpson 1956- Links: Site Costs Ready Reckoner | H1 Addiction Medical Advice | Château TDL: The Backyard Re: Some useful links....new products 6Apr 05, 2008 8:12 pm We looked at Realcrete too at the show, and i was ready to start measuring the garden to use them as parrallel stepping stones so to speak on the blind side of the house with rocks.
BUT......the delivery charge from Ballarat floored me!!!! $200-250 for the delivery to Berwick!!!! I don't think so..... BUT, if anyone preferably in the S/E Melb Suburbs wants to combine an order i would consider splitting the delivery with you? Also note that they have 1/2 lengths instead of the full sleeper length at $18 each too. Let me know if anyone is interested!
