And then it shows from 15-32 burglaries. I take it that it's not 32 burglaries in 15 houses, ha ha! Okay, I'm slow - I finally figured out that the column to the right aren't burglaries, but rather how many houses there are per one burglary. Re: Top 10 most burgled suburbs in Melbourne 9Oct 14, 2012 10:06 pm chb Is there even 1,000 houses in Williams Landing?? I have a feeling not...either that or it would be close. Yes, because they include the surrounding estates (Cedar Woods/Wyndham Waters) as part of Williams Landing. Glad my suburb is not listed, however we have had a our hot water stolen as well as tradie theft in the first 9 months. I spent $500 and bought CCTV, place is like fort knox now. Re: Top 10 most burgled suburbs in Melbourne 10Oct 15, 2012 12:28 pm I often wonder about sites like this one being used for burglary information. Okay stay with me here. I'm researching to build a new home, join this forum quite legitimately. In the short time I have been on here there have been a number of house designs that I have liked in our general area. These have varied from under construction to completed builds. With very little effort based on some broad locality information supplied I have been able to drive past three or four of these houses to check out progress, see what I like or dislike and compare builds. Easy enough to find them. Okay, if I was a dishonest person I have access to floor plans, electrical diagrams, sometimes security information - many of these have the actual address on the documents scanned. I am kept up to date with status of build, can ascertain when appliances will be being installed with some degree of accuracy. After people move in you sometimes get pictures showing what valuable possessions they have, where they are in the house and the like. You can even see from many pics if they have direct neighbours or if the area is still a pretty much deserted construction area. Not saying a thief would go onto a site like this for the sole purpose of researching a theft, but an opportunistic thief has plenty of information freely given on here.
