Browse Forums General Discussion Re: Which gas instantaneous hot water system? 3Oct 12, 2012 9:19 pm That's the sort of reliability I'd expect! Excellent. Don't have the controllers now so only way they'd get added is if they have wireless models now. Haven't missed the ability so far but don't know what you're missing if you've never tried it Re: Which gas instantaneous hot water system? 4Oct 12, 2012 9:24 pm I think they are wireless now but haven't looked into it. I don't know whether they work with the whole solar setup. What I miss is not getting boiled or frozen when someone turns on another tap when I'm in the shower. The water pressure drops but the temperature doesn't change. Re: Which gas instantaneous hot water system? 6Oct 13, 2012 6:08 pm We went with the Rinnai ENVIRO 26, cost a little more but means our gas bill drops substantially in summer. At the time we bought it, it was the only 6 star unit on the market. Re: Which gas instantaneous hot water system? 7Oct 13, 2012 11:21 pm Another Rinnai here, we had the Infinity 26 - never missed a beat in 5 years and have gone for the Enviro model in our new build. The controller can be wired or remote but honestly we never used them and we have young Kids. Whatever you choose however make sure your top temp is 65 degrees not 50. 50 is not hot enought in the Kitchen Re: Which gas instantaneous hot water system? 8Oct 14, 2012 7:10 am Just make sure you have a good plumber who actually fits a condensate pipe to the condensate drainage outlet and plumbs it to an appropriate spot and also make sure he fits 20mm cold water inlet and hot water outlet pipes. Our plumber got our installation wrong and this model generates a fair amount of acidic condensate which has been dripping on our electrical cords. Re: Which gas instantaneous hot water system? 9Oct 14, 2012 9:09 am Wow that's a pretty strong vote for the rinnai systems! Have to get some quotes. Liliana Just make sure you have a good plumber I do now, won't be using the original guy that's for sure. Re: Which gas instantaneous hot water system? 10Oct 14, 2012 5:33 pm try the gstore in malvern dave, we got a great price from them on ours. Re: Which gas instantaneous hot water system? 11Oct 17, 2012 10:28 am Thanks, will keep them in mind. Probably just get a classic 26 model rather than the Enviro. Have to do a bit of research on that one to see if the extra outlay is worth while but my gas bills aren't obscene. Re: Which gas instantaneous hot water system? 12Oct 18, 2012 4:29 am Charnley Whatever you choose however make sure your top temp is 65 degrees not 50. 50 is not hot enough in the Kitchen Just a note that if its connected to solar the max temp in Victoria that it is allowed to deliver anywhere in the house is 50c. Rennai rate there units on litre per minute at +25c. So rennai 26 will deliver up to 26 ltr p/m at 25c. Re: Which gas instantaneous hot water system? 13Oct 18, 2012 9:24 am Thats a little wrong. it should be 26 litres per minute with an increase of 25 degrees. So if the water is 10 degrees to begin with then it will be 26 litres per minute at 35 degrees. Yup I live in melbourne our water is aways cold I want to build a decking to the drawn shape outlined in black. The problem is how close can I build to the gas hot water unit? Will I be able to build around it and be… 0 20230 the sun master is the solar heating to "warm" the water in the tank the S26 is your hot water system which will heat the water (25 degrees?) so with both turned on you… 2 14048 I’d go heat pump, efficient and you can have a large storage tank so you don’t run out. If the house is big it can take a while for the water to run hot. I was lucky… 1 290 |
