Cabin fever, I found out today that the trees are Oriental Pears. Phew, you had me worried for a miniute. That's great news. It can be quite exciting to 'discover' your garden after you've already bought the place. When I bought my current place we did a walk around the garden but didn't really look too closely - you're usually far more concerned with other things. It's only afterwards we discovered we had a little trove of fruit trees ![]() Re: What do you do.... 68Apr 28, 2008 9:03 pm Lovely home Paula, looks like the current owners have not spared any expense! What suburb are you moving to? Have you sold your block yet? How big is it and what suburb? I had a quick read through this thread just now. Love how the laundry is tucked away behind the kitchen. Very nice and great sized yard too! Happy moving!! Re: What do you do.... 72Jun 11, 2008 9:19 am ![]() That's such a beautiful home. I love the kitchen and was wondering whether you knew what colour the bench top and splashback is? (would love to have similar colours in my new home). Thanks Nicole Sorry Nicole, I have no idea. Its 18 months old so we didnt choose it. Paula Fasham vs Comdain 73Oct 09, 2008 11:05 am I am currently in discussions with Comdain and Fasham Johnson and would like to get opinions of both.
Here is a summary of my current experience: Fasham: They seem to be very creative and quite attuned to our needs - they challenge our requiements in a productive manner to get us to understand what we really need and what we will use in practice. Their designs seem to quite space efficient and I love how they use natural light in their homes. I have a meeting with them next week to discuss the details and pricing of our project. Comdain: I had checked out their reference clients and they were generally quite good. Our experience so far is that they are not designing to our requirements and not very creative when it comes to the floor plans - they rely heavily on existing designs. I feel like I am driving the design discussion and they are just going along. They have also been quite vague in their pricing and have asked us to proceed to Phase 2 and to trust them that they will be able to work the design to our requirements then. Would love to hear the experiences of people that have built with Fasham as Comdain are frustrating me at the moment.
