Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Apr 01, 2008 6:58 pm What do you do when a house comes on the market around the corner from your block that has everything (almost) and more ????
Buy it !!!! OMG we just signed on a house today that is everything we wanted, and has upgrades that we wern't going to get. The downside is no rumpus, spare room and pool. These have the ability to be added on, hopefully in the next 12 months. WIR and WIP are smaller than I had planned but I will live with it. The upside is everything done, including full garden, paths etc, meile appliances (warming draw Yeah!), zip hydro tap, colours I love, curtains (although I may change them), intergrated fridge...I could go on. This has not been an easy or quick decision, but one that has had us thinking for a while. I will still need your help when putting the extra room on. Move in 7 weeks OMG I will post pics but remember its not my furniture, not my style. Things to change internally, - two feature walls, one in entry and one in bedroom and two light fittings, one in enrty and one in bedroom. Cost wise I think we will be ahead, even after putting the extra room on. Well thats what DH believes, he can see the value that has gone into the garden http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii130/johnspj_photos/104660024ml1205215913.jpg kitchen ensuite http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii130/johnspj_photos/104660024gl1205215913.jpg alfresco with built in BBQ (also has mini fridge in it ) http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii130/johnspj_photos/104660024il1205215913.jpg NOT MY STYLE lounge Like ⋅ Add a comment ⋅ Pin to Ideaboard ⋅ Family room back yard, the pool will go where the current feature is. http://i263.photobucket.com/albums/ii130/johnspj_photos/104660024dl1205215913.jpg Paula Re: What do you do.... 3Apr 01, 2008 7:03 pm Buy it or copy it.

Paula Re: What do you do.... 11Apr 01, 2008 7:24 pm Hi Paula,
WOW, I AM SO IMPRESSED What wonderful taste the home owners have. Personally I wouldnt change a thing just yet, live in the house for a while then decide what to do. The curtains look top of the range and excellent quality, you would be crazy to change them. Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Mrs B Re: What do you do.... 12Apr 01, 2008 7:29 pm Thanks Mrs B, yes they are nice, the lady who owned it was a perfectionist.
I will live with them for a while before I decide, I know they wern't cheap, so its hard to justify changing them. Now anybody want to buy some land??????????????????? [/quote] Love the bricks! What a beautiful house and the furnishings are lovely...just think, now you don,t have to go through the very stressful ( my experience so far ) and sometimes frustrating building process...you get to move in 7 weeks If we could find an established house that was similar to the one that we are building, then I would jump at the chance! Thanks Mel, DH has been saying this for a while. The problem is that once you have it in your mind that you are building, its hard to have other peoples choices.
