I read somewhere, may of been on MW site that there was going to be a Rebel sports store. That's why I thought there was a list of lease holders.

I found where heard abt Rebel Sport, I did read it wrong but it a possiablity of what chain stores could open.

To be honest, there are many other retail outlets that I would prefer to see at the shopping centre, such as a chemist, medical centre, newsagent, bank, supermarket, fruit shop, butchers, bakery, coffee shop, take away food, restaurant, real estate agents, hair dresser and dry cleaners.
I don't think I would get too excited over Rebel Sport :roll:

I have found updated informaiton about the Lynhurst Activity Centre (shopping centre precinct) on the Council website from the meeting 16 July 09. It was a panel meeting regarding the Cranbourne West Dev plan and in it pages 104-108 Pages 143-144 and chapter 16 is interesting information about our proposed shopping area.

hey guys,
wow seems like alot is happening with MW, it's great to hear. I hope the school is going to start soon, so that they are done by the time 2011 first term starts! I think i remember reading that it was suppose to start this year, but i dont see anything happening there yet.

S&P, i'm building with Carlisle homes there!!

With regards to fencing, is $50 per mtr for capped 1.8 the standard price? I just got sent an invoice from Hallam Fencing for around $1000 for 35mtr along one side of my land. Do i have to pay this, or can i get other quotes? What prices are people paying for timber fencing these days?

We used Hallam fencing and $50 per metre seems to be the going rate, I doubt that you will get it any cheaper. They build a good fence, I am very happy with ours. There's a photo in my thread if you want to have a look.

Dammit, we have just started building and i think we paid $1.5-$2k for our temp fencing, and now i have to fork out money for the real fence!! I wish I wasnt so lazy and had actually contacted our neighbours to get the fencing done prior to construction. But we built pretty much straight after we settled so no time to chase future neighbours down

That's a shame if your temp fencing is already up. We gained a permanent fence before our land settled so we got a credit back from PD for unused temp fencing on that side. But if your's is already up then it may be too late for any credits.

Just so you know too, Hallam fencing is one of the only fencing companies that tracks down the neighbours for you. You just tell them which fence you want them to quote on and they do the rest.

In hindsight, I wish that we had done all our fencing before our build started. because now we have found that due to trucks driving across the other blocks to do deliveries for the build, we have got 2 crushed storm water pipes ::angry::

PD are sending plumbers out this week to dig it all up and fix it, which is quite an inconvenience and may delay the start of our patio roof, due next week.

Anyway, my advice to others is fully fence your block before building so that you;

1) save on the cost of temporary fencing.
2) eliminate the risks of having pipes crushed due to trucks driving over them.
3) have less mud and mess around the house.
4) instant privacy when you eventually shift in.

Hi wonderland, we used Hart Fencing, from memory Hallam were $50+ GST, so $55 really. Hart was $50 incl GST. He did a good job of our fence, so would recommend him and we have family who've used him before. He is coming back to do our wing fencing too - an afterthought - should've gotten him to do it all at once!!

Btw, you are not obligated to go through Hallam just because you have a quote sent through, others would have a better idea than me of the exact laws about fencing though.

Could you post an update on what was said and mainly what is going to be happening in MW, this would be appreciated. I don’t have access to MW online as we brought a block on resale and I’m still trying to get access, but still no response from the people who operate the site.

I’m excited to find out what is going to be happening in the near future, really am looking forward to this

We've been asked for money !!! As of today Tuesday 10th, we're another step closer, just having to put the $'s into RH's account, and they said site starts have been delayed 2 weeks - so realistically - end of November at the latest ? Woohoo !

We're also going to the meeting - be a good chance to meet our fellow Stage 7'ers and 9'ers, and 2's, etc etc

We will be at the meeting. It should be pretty interesting. I think it may go longer than an hour. A few of us were thinking that they chose 6.00pm as most people may not be home from work. The least amount of people who attend, the more likely it will finish early.

The houses are going up pretty fast at that end of Evans Road. Next week I should be able to see roof tiles and maybe brick work.

We are still without a back fence, as we need access for the patio roof builders and concrete. I rang Hallam fencing yesterday to get the quote but they can't put the thing up until next year, probably february ::hyst::

So now I am trying to find a fence builder who can do it before Xmas. I'm planning a 1st birthday party for DS2 the weekend before Xmas, and the thought of having DS1's 2 and 3 year old friends running riot out there just doesn't appeal to me ::hyst::

I don't think we will make it to the meeting due to it being on a weekday. But I'd love to have an update on what happens
