Marriott Waters release --> Info / update center

I went past Marriott Waters today.. can I just say the estate looks so good!! Every house looks top quality and the entrance reminds me of Waterways. The lakes are amazing too!!

Can I just ask if Marriott Water housing will extend to where the sign is on the Evans Road side?? Will there be housing here?

Also roughly how many Carlisles are in the estate?

Yes the houses will go all the way through to Evans Rd, many of them have already started in that stage.

Not sure how many Carlisles there are but I know it's quite a few, although not as many as PD it seems :wink:

Residential Club will be a cafe / gym type setup I believe with a pool, the retail centre will have a Coles, medical centre, possibly a servo (but i hope not), and about 15 specialty stores - methinks along the lines of Video Ezy, fish & chips, chemist.....both the club and retail will be in walking distance of our place - good incentive to get fit on the way to getting fit !

I think they were going to be where the land sales office is originally, but I hear that's going to become medium density townhouses (the rentals !).

As for the school, I believe they'll have it up and running by 2011 Term 1 - no doubt we'll hear and see most of it, being directly opposite...But I think primary is far better than secondary - they still haven't learnt to become s**theads yet

I read that in the retail hub, there is going to be an Aldi supermarket when it first opens and in 2016 a Coles supermarket will open (full line supermarket). I also read there could also be a Rebel Sports and as pauljulian posted a medical centre and a servo.

Only ppl who live in MW can use the Res Club, as we pay for membership through our body corp.. fees

I hope it going to be a big club as there are a lot of ppl going to be living at MW!!!

I was just wondering where people found the information about who was going to hold leases in the shops and the 2016 timeline.

According the MW community website Villawood will be holding a meeting with residents and I should hope land owners as well, to discuss rec centre changes. There seems to be some confusion as the Rec centre and Commuity Centre are 2 different buildings, if they have renamed the Rec Centre to Commuity centre then it will be open to everyone. I hope this meeting is soon.

PaulJulian: There are quite afew houses in the estate that already have renters in them. We have two in our street and I know of a few in stage 2. We have noticed that the spec homes that have been sold will follow with a for lease sign later.

We were also told ( when we bought in 2007) that the front of the estate would be a retirement village. Perhaps this is the high density housing?

Not that I have anything against renters (i'm one now !) - but it's nice to have permanent neighbours, not transitional ones

If it becomes a retirement village, even better - it'll keep it quiet.

I just hope the retail/medical/etc section doesn't become hoon city late at night (ie do it yourself carwashes always attract em) - and hopefully the medical centre doesn't bring in too many unsavoury types - it's just my background with dealing in police dispatching that these kind of things pop up from time to time.

As much as Id like to live in MW (I mean who wouldnt :wink:

)...we just moved into this house.

Ive actually got quite a few cousins that recently moved into MW, they built with Carlisle.

If MW existed when we bought our land (which was at least 4 years ago), of course we would have went for it! :lol:

But back then the only close estate with wetlands and lakes was Waterways..a bit too expensive! :wink:

Ive got to say, the illuminated light entrance is amazing!!

I just google search Lyndhurst, Council, Future Development in the area, etc
When you do start searching, you just need to know where look and what to right when searching, and bingo you get information.

There is no specific shops with a holding leases, with it was quoted that there will be an Aldi Supermarket, and by 2016(could be earlier) there will be a full line supermarket, which I'm pretty sure it could be Coles supermarket.

I read somewhere, may of been on MW site that there was going to be a Rebel sports store. That's why I thought there was a list of lease holders.
