Re: Marriott Waters release --> Info / update center 823Sep 26, 2009 11:55 am Hehehe....we're just about to drive down there now (12pm Saturday) - hopefully a chance to drive on Brookwater Blvd or Evans Rd.....will let you know, i'm taking the camera Re: Marriott Waters release --> Info / update center 824Sep 26, 2009 4:11 pm Well, just came back - drove through (bravely) past the gates on Brookwater Blvd....it's now sealed, as is Gregson Gr, Collendy Pl, Boland Dve and a few others. We found the pegs for our land - yay !! It's got quite a slope upwards of about 30 degrees to the housing land itself, so that'll change the game with landscaping a bit - the actual house land looks pretty flat itself. Nice. Stage 9 isn't started yet - they did a rough dig out of the streets a while ago but they haven't started on gutters and the road etc. They will finish the other stages first - hopefully it stops raining so there are no holdups. We went down there yesterday and had a drive around, its looking good. Stage 9 looks like a swimming pool bc the dug out roads have filled with rail Re: Marriott Waters release --> Info / update center 827Sep 28, 2009 11:05 pm emmzy clueless2009 wow, tempting to go but not sure whether stage 9 is started. anyways thanks. But it's a great feeling to finally be able to drive there on sealed roads and actually look at your land. I didnt realise how close we are to the railway crossing. I knew we were close, but didnt realise it was that close. Doesnt matter, we are still happy with our land. Anyone in stage 7 settling earlier than Oct 8th? We are hoping to settle end of this week, fingers crossed!! Re: Marriott Waters release --> Info / update center 832Sep 30, 2009 11:59 am Hi all, well I've been pretty quiet on here lately, but thought I'd say hi. The final inspection is tomorrow morning, so not long to go now. I just can't wait to finally get in hopefully it will be worth all the heartache! The new pelican sculpture is slowly growing on me, first time I saw it I thought what the, but it wasn't so out there the second time I saw it Thats interesting about undercover cop cars, they'd have a field day one would think pulling people over who fly between Westernport and Thompsons. Its good to see titles are now slowly filtering through for stages 7 and up, stage 7 especially have waited so long I remember we only bought our block a few weeks before stage 7 and we though we had a rough time waiting around! Excited to read about the 'commercial hub', doctors, chemist, restaurant all sounds really exciting as you never know what will go in there (a Coles plus specialty shops could have meant anything really!). Interesting they mentioned a thought to move the residents club - hopefully if they move it they rejig the design and give us a bigger gym!! Their arguement for why they changed the design from two storey to single storey with a smaller gym was because it looked too commercial, now they are considering moving the club to the 'commercial hub'.... I just don't get that!! ICK So glad the building is over, never again. Loooove our house, but still not quite sure it was worth all of the stress they put us through! Re: Marriott Waters release --> Info / update center 833Oct 03, 2009 10:38 pm hi im new to all this, i just have one question. i have brought in boland drive, lyndhurst. and im not sure what stage i am. our house is not on the master plan of the estate. i think im in mellington estate, but cant find any thing about it. can any one help me out. we are across from where the football ovals will be, and the water ways. If your land is not on the masterplan of MW, then I dont think you are part of the MW estate. Did you buy the land off someone else? Is that in effect yet ? Is that in effect yet ? Hi Paul, I was actually hoping for an earlier settlement date than Oct 8th and my broker and bank were great, but my conveyancer let me down. Now I am booked for settlement on Oct 8th, so not an early settlement after all!! Good luck on settlement day, hope your bank follows through. Not sure about council rates, but i know that you dont have to start paying body corp fees until they open the Residential club. Which, by how MW likes to do things, could be years away! Well, when I spoke to the conveyancer to ask about how to pay the stamp duty (ie with the loan or raise the money ourselves), she answered those questions OK, but then when I said were just waiting for the bank to get back to us re valuation (she had the plans/quotes from the builder), the conveyancer said "why is she doing valuation?", and I said it was because that's what we'd been asked to do. Not sure if the bank staffer knows October 8 is D-Day (my lack of knowledge made me believe it was 2 weeks from that date !) - so we have contingency in regards to the stamp duty, but hope the communication lines get cleared up in time. As for the MW rates, that's a bit of breathing space ! Re: Marriott Waters release --> Info / update center 839Oct 05, 2009 8:19 pm Hi all Just found this forum and it’s good to see MW on this forum. We about to build in stage 3 with Big M and the starting date is now close (November I’m thinking), still no confirmation on starting as they had to re-apply for the permit as we did a late structural variation, and so they had to re-applied. Our CSC also was saying that the SS was going to inspect our block, hopefully by this week at the latest, but not too sure. My partner and I drive down to MW weekly and we are amazed how fast some houses go up, and we also drive down the streets of MW and look at the stunning new established houses, we are excited. We can’t wait to start building and it will be great to see MW fully completed. Does anyone know when they expect this project to be fully completed?? I know there will be a full line supermarket by 2016 and before that starts there is going to be an Aldi supermarket. That’s all I could find on the net for now.
