we will be moving in a couple of weeks, we still have to do the floors and i would prefer the driveway done before we move.

what kind of driveway are you getting??

we came from a 8 square unit so we have no furniture either!!

are you doing your own landscaping??

we just wanna be in now

What are you doing with the floors? Tiling or Floorboards?

We already have our driveway in, we made it part of the house construction so our builder did it for us......made it so much easier!!!

We are getting our landscaping done through the landscaping entitlement......we only ended up being $470 over the $2500 entitlement for what we originally wanted done minus a few things that Paul can do later on.

we were going ot that but went nuts on our electrical instead.
we are doing boards.

470 that's pretty good. so it's basically waht you wanted??

Yeah it ended up being the layout that I wanted just minus some timber edging and some pavers which can all be done later on........the timber edging was the expensive part of it due to the labour.

My original quote from them was about $4000, minus the $2500 landscaping entitlement, I would have had to fork out $1500........so I got rid of a few things like the timber edging and that brought it done to the $470 over which we decided to go with.

I was going to say that if you were doing tiles then i work for a tile manufacturer in Dandenong and sell direct to the public.......but since you are doing floorboards.......I'm no help....hehe

ptmtaylor, is every resident of MV eligible to get the $2500 off landscaping? What did you end up getting for your $470?

As far as I am aware.......everyone in MW gets the landscaping entitlement.....but it is only if you use their approved landscaper.........yes there is a catch!!!!

For the extra $470 i think it worked out that there was some additional tuscan screening, dark mulch and river pebbles.........also we had a section of timber edging that everything ran off which was kept for the extra cost......otherwise i would have had to get rid of it or completely change the design i wanted.

Arek, the seagulls are not to bad, I love watching the ducks wondering around our house early hours of the morning & early evening.

Tracey, Eddy the landscaper came to our place after being at your place the other day. We have to wait for another week or so before he can start work on our front yard, as we are putting mirboo planter boxes first. Then know what space we have to play with.

We are waiting on our neighbours to get back to the fencing people so we can put up our fences. great lake views at the moment, but cant wait for a little more privacy.. Nothing like your washing on show to the Western Port Hwy.

Most of our blinds went up this week, only the plantation shutters to go

Stage 3 people are getting excited as we see so many of them visiting their blocks..

Jo, where are you again? I though you may have been already.. Tracey we work past you place all the time on our nightly walks with Morgan

Not quite game enough to knock on the door yet

Anyway i will be back on line in full swing in the next few days. Might even get some photos happening..

We should be getting our phone lines connected on Thursday...finally!!!

Paul has been very busy in the backyard and I bought grass seed today so we can finally grass the backyard now that we have our garden beds and Madi's play area done for her cubby house.

Ness, I think I almost accidently pulled out in front of your husband the other week, please tell him I'm so sorry for that.

I know what you mean by not being game enough, I myself am a very shy person when meeting new people, even though speaking to them frequently on here. We have only really met Michelle and Gordon who I think has only been on the MW online site.

But please feel free to knock on the door or ring the doorbell, would love to meet you guys and see Morgan.

Can't wait to finally have our Internet connected so that I can finally put some pics on the site of all of Paul's hard work.

Our landscaping is supposed to get started on Wednesday.

JoBen, I'd organize telephone line now and ask for setup when you move in. Have you organized the trench to be done yet?

Also, for landscaping, have you taken your occupancy permit down to Mai yet? She'll give you eddy the landscapers details.

We also bought our antenna from bunnings and Paul put it up in the roof

We are building a brick one with the house bricks so it matches.. Bern wont let me try & build it, so I have to wait for my FIL to do it in the next few weeks

I would organise your phone asap cause telstra were slow to get going, & they need their lines in frist before you can use someone else.

turn right at evans Rd roundabout, then a fair way down 7th street on left, called Duff Street (might not be a sign showing street name, so is street on left after montrose) once you get onto Duff street keep going down, you'll see Coles on the right, and it's in there with a small group of other take away places.

Yes PD did ours too, so the testra man just came out & connected up the wires & we had phones, had to wait another week for the net though.. So see if you can get it all done for the day you move in.. Legs cut off without the net

F&C here we come..

Tracey, thats ok we ended up heading to Flaky jakes anyway.. We needed nappies from safeway. 2 boxes for $66

Burgers were nice, got a little :shock:

At the moment they have only done the top soil......hoping that when we get home tonight they have finished it.......we'll see.
