Marriott Waters – Opticomm Optic Fibre Network
FAQs
Q: I am interested in getting fibre but cannot afford any further cabling in my house at the
moment. What are the minimum requirements to be able to utilise the benefits of a fibre
connection?
A: Unless CAT3 cabling was used on your home, there will typically be no further requirements for
internal cabling.
Q: What happens if I don't want to pay for fibre now and wait for the NBN rollout? Is it true that
they may not install over the top of the Opticomm network?
A: That’s right. Unfortunately, if you do not pay for the Opticomm fibre now, NBN co will not build

A: At this stage, we are anticipating that installations and connections will commence at homes at
Marriott Waters in September / October.
Q: Why can't you use the existing phone conduit to install fibre to my house?

fibre at your home.
Q: I have a fully landscaped front garden that will be too much work to dig up and install a new
conduit. Is there any other way I can get fibre to my house?
