They released new plans last week which make the costs a bit more feasible. I find Telstra too expensive, and for where we are, I can only get ADSL1 (1500) - think it's cause of the RIM.....damn, why didn't Villawood choose to have US as the NBN guinea pigs instead of Alamanda ? Getting connected to TPG by week's end, VOIP as well - now we just need to get into the house (long story, we'll be updating our thread in due course) I am not sure if you can get TPG here yet guys. There are a couple of threads on the MW site that people have updated in the last week or 2 on what is now available. I can't recall what the titles of the threads are, you may have to do a search. I hope TPG are available. There are no spare ports on LYNH086 I find myself constantly re applying on internode , and have done this since start of the year , still with no success. Telstra infrastructure fail to you! With 6GB available on my 3G 3 "Bangalore Special" Internet costing $39 and at times its woefully slow, and drops out sporadically. Not to mention it chews the laptop battery quickly and is an obstruction hanging out the side of laptop! An email from TPG has connected us up as of yesterday on the 1500/256 120 gig plan Shame I can't get into the house to actually test it and use it, but i'd rather have it running when we move in than wait for it. The alternatives were AAPT (ADSL1, unlimited - which I might churn to if i need the gigs), Internode, iiNet and iPrimus - they are the only ones who can do ADSL2+ (Zone1) - no uploads counted, but also have not the greatest value for what I want (80 gigs on peak, 220 gigs off - i'm not going to use that much !, for $130/month before bundling). Anything to stop using this damn Vodafone 3G stick - it's expensive. |
