Got a quote today for over $1600 for repointing my roof with flexi point.
He said they remove the ridge caps, clean it all up then use a diamond cutter to cut a channel down both sides of the tiles which prevents "muck" from inside pushing the pointing back out.
Does this sound correct or have I been quoted a "Rolls Royce" of repairs that new homes dont have?
On looking at the Selleys website on point works gen 2 it is an adhesive fastener as well as pointing compound, so is there any real need for removing, cleaning and channeling first?
Cant they just remove the old pointing leaving the ridge caps in situ and slap the flexi point as an adhesive fastener pointing stuff?
