Hope they put up adequate sound barriers! Re: Marriott Waters - Impact of Possible Rail Line and Freew 5Sep 05, 2012 4:29 pm I'm a buyer from Stage 13. Even my Conveyance didnt point out this, till i enquired from the local council. I thought this infomation is worth sharing with the residents living around these areas. Re: Marriott Waters - Impact of Possible Rail Line and Freew 6Sep 05, 2012 4:45 pm saj it most definately is worthwhile pointing it out! I can't wait till Evans road opens up fully and the morons stop cutting through the melington / marriott waters estate to get to Thompsons Rd. FFS its mayhem there at times. Re: Marriott Waters - Impact of Possible Rail Line and Freew 8Sep 05, 2012 11:19 pm mistress I'd be more concerned with the planned nuclear waste deposit site on the corner of Thompsons Rd and Western Port Highway than a rail line and freeway. ??? The Cranbourne West Precinct Structure Plan (Page 6) Shows a boarding kennel on the Cnr of Thompsons & Western Port. Where are you getting your info on a nuclear waste deposit site? Re: Marriott Waters - Impact of Possible Rail Line and Freew 9Sep 06, 2012 8:16 am I knew about it for a while although it is all still in the planning stage. The council had a meeting with residents in 2006 and ended up very bad. This is the noise assesment http://www.dpcd.vic.gov.au/__data/asset ... ssment.pdf I contacted the memebr of parliament to investiaget earlier in the year and here is the reply: Dear Michael, Thank you for your email to Tim Holding regarding the proposed Westernport Highway upgrade. I have contacted VicRoads to discuss your concerns. VicRoads has advised that the project is currently at a high-level planning phase, to determine land that needs to be reserved for the upgrade, as well as the preferred location and form of interchanges and access roads. The detailed design for the proposed road upgrade, including possible noise attenuation measures such as noise walls, will be undertaken at a later stage. VicRoads expects to formally exhibit planning scheme amendments to reserve land for the new road in late 2012. There will be opportunities for the community to comment on these amendments, and I encourage you to participate in this process to make your concerns known. You can find additional information at http://www.vicroads.vic.gov.au/Home/Roa ... warrin.htm or by contacting the VicRoads project team on 9881 8095. I trust this information is of assistance to you. If you have any further questions please contact the office on 9547 6262. ___________________________ Re: Marriott Waters - Impact of Possible Rail Line and Freew 11Sep 06, 2012 1:28 pm James86 mistress I'd be more concerned with the planned nuclear waste deposit site on the corner of Thompsons Rd and Western Port Highway than a rail line and freeway. ??? Re: Marriott Waters - Impact of Possible Rail Line and Freew 12Sep 06, 2012 1:30 pm smar Between the truck DC, the nuclear waste, the freeway and the freight train, where will the brothels, injecting rooms and dog fighting arena fit! Lol Smar the injecting Rooms must be already there otherwise how would anyone come up with the idea of "Nuclear waste" Re: Marriott Waters - Impact of Possible Rail Line and Freew 13Sep 06, 2012 1:58 pm I enquired from Vicroads about the proposed road reservation boundaries for the upgrade of Western Port Hwy near Thompsons Rd. Plans shows that Western Port Hwy has been aligned to the west to minimise impact to the residential area. No land is proposed to be acquired from the Marriott Waters estate. A strip of land is proposed to be acquired along the Thompsons Road frontage of the estate. This acquisition does not affect any residential lots. There is currently no funding for construction of the Western Port Hwy upgrade. Therefore the timing for construction is unknown. Re: Marriott Waters - Impact of Possible Rail Line and Freew 15Sep 06, 2012 6:55 pm I did some asking around, I hear the port development is at least 10 years away! Who knows what could happen in that time... And fingers crossed if the freeway goes ahead it will make my commute to the city quicker! Thanks saj and michaelrezk for the info!
