Always more cost effective to keep wet areas together. That said, I'd also seriously take into consideration where your hot water service is, and how far the pipes new to go to reach the kitchen. Minimize this. Waiting 10 minutes for hot water for dishes SUCKS Re: Floor plan help 22Sep 21, 2012 10:39 am thanks for your ideas! The plumbing shouldnt cost too much to change being on piers. Also, there is already hot/cold piping and sewer passing underneath the top right corner so we should be able to tap into that Our new bathroom is nearly 20m from the hot water service so we know all about waiting for hot water The new kitchen sink location wouldnt be any further away (maybe 1m if that) than the old kitchen sink location so hot water should be ok still tossing up about the pantry in the walk way or whether to recess it back into the study and lose precious room in there Hi all, we are undertaking a bathroom renovation this year and we are hoping to make better use of this space.
