Hi all - esp. the sparkies out there,
This is an issue coming from an air con repairer fixing my 4yo air con under warranty. According to him, the way the electrician installed my two 1HP inverter reverse cycle air cons on the same NEW electrical circuit is not correct. He said they should each have their own circuit, and that is a legal requirement (NSW btw) EDIT: and manufacturer's requirement (though I can't find it in the manuals). He also said if 1 unit failed for some reason, it could take the other out as well.
Are those statements true ? I previously trusted the design of the installer: 1 new circuit for the big 2.75HP unit in the living area, and 1 new circuit for the 2 small ones in 2 bedrooms, both with circuit breakers. Should it be changed ?
Thanks heaps for your help.
To mods: I used to see these questions in the Maintenance forum, but now it's more about DIY stuff which this is clearly not about. Pls feel free to move this topic to an appropriate place.
