Browse Forums General Discussion 1 Jul 04, 2012 8:24 pm I just built a house its a year old today i have a issue with my floor tiles when they were layed they were perfectly level now they have seemed to of lifted in some places alot more than other areas is it a sign of the slab shiffting/ sinking theres no cracks on walls or tiles and there doest seem to be any crackes loose or missing grout anywhere i now for a fact the tile layer used correct glue and sufficient amounr is there any way i can check or get someone to check if my slabs ok or is it another issue Re: Floor tiles 2Jul 04, 2012 9:40 pm Use a key or coin and tap on the tile you think has lifted, it will make a hollow sound if the glue has let go. If there is no crack in the grout and the tile is not drummy I tend to think it was like that from day one.
